All TSBD websites are designed from scratch. No templates, even our own, are used. Certainly we have snippets of code that we have created and use in a modified form if appropriate, but for the design we start with a clean sheet.

Aiming for clean and intelligent design, we use best coding practices that ensure fast speeds and efficiency. We like to produce or give the impression of a graphic rich build that complements content but at all times we are optimising both graphics and code for speed.

Your website

You may not currently have a website and are asking yourself if you should. Well, you certainly don't have to but if you use data sheets or a brochure then an electronic version available on line is seen as almost mandatory in this day and age. In addition you may find your competitors have an edge on you simply because they do have an online presence.

There are many sites on the web that do not do their owners justice. This may be simply because the site has been neglected and no longer reflects the company for which is represents. It may also be a case of a site done on the cheap perhaps by a family member who "knows about computers" and has knocked something up in a simple design package. The simple truth here is - don't mess with your image. You wouldn't dream of releasing a brochure made up of cut and paste text and image photo copies

Throughout the development of your website we will keep you informed of progress and give you advice on any queries you may have. We will encourage your feedback and ideas and we will not forget that it is you that is the expert in your field. Our expertise lies in taking "you" and creating an online representation.

Early on we will discuss your ongoing site requirements with regard to content updates. A content management system may well be worth considering but beware, many CMS's have been sold simply because of the higher cost they can command and not for the correct reasons and there can be drawbacks. However, where continuous updates are a feature of your on line presence then a CMS is a positive boon for keeping content fresh.

Webmaster costs have come in for some serious criticism of late for which there are many reasons. There is no need for excessive costs in maintaining a site as simple text or image updates cost little in time and, where hosting is part of the service, may not cost at all. (see opposite)
